Backlog Victory Chimes does not act like a mana ability

Per the CR605.1a, a mana ability needs to meet three criteria.

605.1a. An activated ability is a mana ability if it meets all of the following criteria: it doesn't require a target (see rule 115.6), it could add mana to a player's mana pool when it resolves, and it's not a loyalty ability. (See rule 606, "Loyalty Abilities.")​

Per Victory Chimes's Gatherer page, it is a mana ability.

However, it does not function like a mana ability in MTGO. When a player activates VC, the ability goes on the stack and there is a round of priority. When a player adds mana with VC, they are not able to undo that action unlike other mana abilities. They are also not able to activate VC to pay costs (Propaganda effects, casting a spell, activating an ability).
