Could Not Reproduce Halo Forager triggered ability can be paid by Omen Hawker mana ability

Omen Hawker mana ability says "Spend this mana only to activate abilities." , but Halo Forager has a triggered ability not activated ability. However my opponent was able to use Omen Hawker mana to pay for that. Game ID: 835767334 , Match ID 258169718.
