I had a game where I attacked Daretti Scrap Servant with Dryad of the Illysian Grove. Opponent blocked and killed dryad with a Cityscape Leveler. After combat Cityscape Leveler was the only creature on the battlefield. Post combat, I cast Balance. I discard two cards to match the number of cards my opponent had, no lands were sacrificed (since we had the same amount), but Cityscape Leveler remained on the battlefield, despite it being the only creature on the battlefield.
