I configured my pc to use Google DNS and was able to log in. I don't think this counts as a fix but definitely a workaround, I'll need to contact my ISP to sort it out. Thanks!

I saw a thread marked as 'Fixed' but I'm experiencing the same issue. Can't log in after uninstalling and installing the new client. Says the server is under scheduled maintenance, can the fix be posted? I didn't see what the solution was.
