Well of Lost Dreams works as expected in testing. If you tapped something like a Sol Ring that generates more than a single mana at a time the client won't auto pay that mana towards the Well of Lost Dreams trigger, even if you're in the payment prompt, and will very easily let you click through the trigger drawing zero cards and wasting two mana, I've accidentally done this a number of times.
