In Consideration Sort Buddy-Only Matches to Bottom

Recently like passed month or two I've been noticing this a LOT more where players will be opening multiple "buddy only" games just to make some sort of statement OR opening multiple games for each bracket.

And it's just a bit of a bummer that these people ALWAYS wind up on top of me. Im not sure why but when I make a new game, my game will go under the lowest open game. When other people make new games, their games will pop up above mine burying mine even further.

And it kinda sucks cause it just clutters up the queue, buries other games to the bottom and is just disruptive for no real reason. I really wish that we could do something where these "buddy only" games maybe didn't always stay right at the top or maybe even had some kinda rule where players couldn't open games JUST to make a statement and leave it there at the top. I do think it'd be nice if there was some sort of "only 1 open game per format/per person" kinda thing.

To give context to the user making a bunch of games claiming someone was being "racist". The player he was referring to had a game that said "don't play white".

I personally think that if someone opens a "buddies only" with "No spectators" then the match should just be hidden if you aren't a "Buddy" wouldn't that make more sense?
If that could be implemented, i'm def all for it! Def a great way to handle it and would also solve the issue of people doing that just to make a statement and leave it at the top for as long as they want.

There needs to be something done about the tournament practice lobbies to restrict or limit unethical players.

A list of activities I commonly encounter in the Legacy tournament practice lounge:
- a player stopping mid match to jump into another match without finishing the match that they are in
- players seeding matches, seeing who they match with, and then choosing not to play
- players quitting matches after one game
- players, at the end of a match, not finishing that match and jumping into the next game in the queue
- after matching with a player, that player refusing to play, reseeding another match, and then repeating the process

If I block these players, will they no longer appear in my match queue?

There isn't a downside to unethical play in the free lobbies, and unfortunately, some players are making a habit of it!

Unfortunately, Blocking players just prevents them from joining your games. It doesn't prevent you from accidentally joining their games. It's bass-ackwards. It should at least be a two-way Block.

Thanks for the knowledge. I imagine this is for tournament play - you could block players and prevent match-ups? Anyway, needs to be some merit system in the free lounges to prevent abuse.

I don't think Blocking players to prevent them from joining your games applies in tournaments. You play against whomever you're matched up with, like it or not.

But I still think Blocking players in Bo1, Bo3 Casual queues should be a 2-way block.

I agree - I think due to tournaments is why it isn't a two-way block. The system is coded so that a block does not prevent you from playing (so that a player couldn't block all players in a T8, for example) and there is no designation between tournaments and queues in the program regarding the player block. That's my guess. I appreciate your responses.
