Many games, games is often decided whoever drew their turn 1 Sol Ring. Many times i sit through waiting for 4 players to show up, often 20 minutes or more, just for someone to turn 1 Sol Ring and end the game shortly. It happened many times including the times I draw it myself.
Sol Ring should be made a game changer.
Now that would give WOTC a nightmare as most their precon commander decks comes preconstructed with a Sol Ring. To keep Sol Ring bracket 2 for precon, it just needs a new rule for Sol Ring.
As long as the precon is 100% unmodified, the deck is still considered bracket 2. This helps newbies get into the game, and by default, precon decks aren't highly synergize with the rest of the deck. So unmodified precon can be bracket 2, any modification other than Sol Ring instantly makes it a bracket 3+.
This is a fair adjustment that would make the game more balanced. Please pitch this change to WOTC.
