Hello,
I am creating this bug report following the guidance from MTGO Customer Support, as the issue has been ongoing and remains unresolved.
Summary
Magic Online frequently takes an abnormally long time to load, often 30 minutes or more, and sometimes fails to complete loading entirely, resulting in a disconnect message. This issue occurs repeatedly and is not isolated to a single player or PC environment.
Frequency
Occurs almost daily
Especially frequent during Japan evening peak hours (approximately 9:00–11:00 PM JST)
Scope
Multiple players in Japan are reporting the same issue simultaneously on social media
This suggests the problem is not a unique local client issue
Environment
OS: Windows (fully updated)
MTGO installation: Clean installation already performed using the official Daybreak installer
Security software: Proper exclusions configured
Network: Stable, no issues with other online services
Hardware: Normal performance, no disk or CPU bottlenecks during loading
Symptoms
MTGO stuck on the Loading screen for an extremely long time (20–30+ minutes)
In some cases, loading never completes and ends with a disconnect message prompting a client restart
Reinstalling, rebooting, and standard PC troubleshooting steps do not resolve the issue
Why this appears server-side
The issue occurs simultaneously for multiple players in Japan
The problem is strongly time-dependent (evening peak hours)
Local PC, OS, antivirus, and network configurations have already been ruled out
The behavior is consistent with server-side, CDN, or regional connectivity issues
Impact
Many players affected by this issue have spent hundreds of dollars on Magic Online in order to play the game. However, due to this recurring problem, MTGO is frequently unusable, preventing paid customers from accessing the service they have paid for on a daily basis.
Request
We respectfully ask the MTGO team to:
Investigate potential server, CDN, or regional infrastructure issues affecting Japan/Asia
Confirm whether peak-hour congestion or backend problems are occurring
Provide transparent communication if this is a known or ongoing issue
At this point, generic client-side troubleshooting does not address the problem. We are simply asking for stable access to the game.
Thank you for taking the time to review this report.
