Imagine being able to quickly check on MTGO.com: "Hey, the Swiss Draft queue is at 4 players—I'll turn on my PC and hop in," or "Wow, this event that doesn't often fire is about to fire! Let me rent a deck quickly and jump in."
It would be even better if there was an official API available. This way, community developers could create handy tools like iPhone Home Screen widgets, apps or even Discord Bots that notify you when your favourite events are nearing launch, and other convenient utilities.
