Funny the best decks aren't 3+ colors right now, especially with Nadu banned.
I see Cloud, Deadpool, Yoshi, Spiderman 99, Phelia and some other stuffs on the top of the food chain.
Sure Slimefoot and Nadu Bant+ piles exist, but they aren't near the most part of the game.
I can understand the wish for shorter banlist, but at what cost ? Price of Progress nor Humility seem even close to reasonnable.

The format could desperately use some boost to actual control decks and so I was very excited to see Humility as an unban. I'm completely okay with trying out Price of Progress as well since it will just further make basic count and fetch a real consideration of the format which again I enjoy. And that's the thing if any of these changes end up being unreasonably obnoxious they can be removed in a future ban. I would much rather take the risk and try things out than to have a bloated list that's too afraid of ever making a mistake.

This whole thread wasn't boosted by people who play on MTGO: it's mostly astroturfed by a small group of French people who recently started a coup against Duel Commander and asked their local group to do so (same person), all while dragging some from the outside as well, following some recent actions that wouldn't go towards their group interests. As you can see, 98% accounts voting/+1'ing are new members, will probably never use MTGO and rely on fear and coordination in moves. The ratio of votes/views is also eloquent as well as their number of contributions and social engagement here. I alone, for instance, have spent over 1,500 EUR on MTGO, when I used to play more, but that isn't the stake, here.

We, on the contrary, are polite and respectful people, and will not intrumentalize our precious and professional relationship with MTGO to act like this, regardless of the outcome, which we will accept politely. Just wanted to have you know, so that you understand why this is happening.

I'm sorry about all the mess generated by all this, which you might have to disagree with (I suppose downvoting could help showing your disagreement, though). 🙏

(BTW Humility is one of the coolest new answers to the trends of our game, and Price of Progress really makes red decks get another sweaty chance to win. According to the published decklists, that should be welcome. :))

Funny for someone who, according to himself, doesn't play the format and didn't want it on mtgo to discredit people who created an account only to protect a format they play and they love.

I don't know about any of that but I can confirm that the vast majority of names in this thread are ones that I have literally never seen playing the format on MTGO despite me being a regular player since before the format was even officially added on MTGO for tournament play. Make of that what you will.

I receive the notifications for every like the OG post got, and there are both new joiners and regulars of the software. I guess new joiners are either players wanting unification regarding MTGO and paper, viewers of streamers or just non-league players of MTGO.

It's true, I created forum account only to upvote this, because before that I could just enjoy the format I love, but DocFx's coup forced me to support it. I am sure people will now stop putting Nadu inside the deck to have him "softbanned", but it would still be better if Daybreak just followed the comittee's banlist

Also, I would like to mention that outside the likes, I don't think anyone outside DayBreak has access to the votes and voters names (up and down).
So sure, you can have a look to who is and isn't a new member, but can't tell about the votes.
Another blatant lie.

Magic O Mont, Tournament Organizer for French National circuit (Open Qualifier for the last two years, with 64 caped attendance) decided yesterday to lock in with RC banlist for the upcoming events.
Another support of the RC members.

Reupload of the file + mention of the same decision for Les Mages d'Urza, a TO in Bordeaux.

Two biggest Prague LGS cernyrytir.cz and najada.games are also organizing weekly events in duelcommander.org banlist.

Also all Czech Duel Leagues will follow said banlist.

Price of progress is a terrible unban as most of the time you can use it to force a draw so you start a new game. Paper tournaments of duel commander already struggle to not use the full extra time and it would make it worse.

I'm sure Cavern of Souls will do a lot to promote control decks.

I'm nothing short of baffled at requests for these dramatic changes. The format is healthy, and the Nadu ban has dramatic impact on the metagame. I would rather see the meta settle than make more changes (Breya unban is pretty safe).
