Only Docfx provides us with exciting villain style monologues regularly. We should continue to respect their official ban list.

Hello everyone,

In line with the position already shared for Relic Fest here: https://discord.com/channels/999296184030072842/1035974163883634808/1428682945916440667 and hereby attached, here is a stance regarding the current Duel Commander situation as requested by the community.

About Relic Fest 2025:

• 5,000 players across the weekend
• 1,600 unique players
• 972 players in the main event (world record for Duel Commander, previously held by Relic Fest 2024 with 913 players)
• multiple 400-player Duel Commander tournaments as side events

Relic Fest 2025's position: Following one individual's unilateral actions and the many questions this raised within our community, Relic needed to make their position clear: Relic Fest recognizes and supports the Duel Commander Rules Committee at https://www.duelcommander.org/ as the continuation of the format we all know and love.

Why this matters: Everyone deeply regret that this situation has occurred. The committee at duelcommander.org represents the continuation of Duel Commander's collaborative governance. The new infrastructure ensures shared control among multiple committee members, so no single person can unilaterally harm the format or individuals. The committee is actively demonstrating its commitment to working in a collegial and community-driven manner, which speaks louder than any words.

This position is driven by community interests and supporting the collaborative structure that Duel Commander should have always relied on. We appreciate everyone who has contributed to building this format over the years.

Thank you for considering the community's voice.

Jordane,
Event Manager
