Hi, I'm a pauper player and I was trying to make a Lantern Control esc deck work in pauper. I discovered that Orcish Spy which reads "Look at the top three cards of target player’s library." seems to not display the top three cards in chronological order. I will attach two instances where I showed this. From the small sample size I gathered it looks like the cards are displayed in alphabetical order.

To explain the screen shots, "part A" from both scenarios shows the top three cards of the library, and "part B" from both scenarios shows the top two cards being milled which doesn't correspond with what was revealed.

Scenario 1
part A: https://app.gemoo.com/share/image-a...codeId=v67R64bVkJ7yl&origin=imageurlgenerator
part B: https://app.gemoo.com/share/image-a...codeId=DWl0ypZjXNZ88&origin=imageurlgenerator

Scenario 2

part B: https://app.gemoo.com/share/image-a...codeId=MllL8Ejzgkx8o&origin=imageurlgenerator

Actually, in your screenprint, the correlation seems to be the same as in the OP's... alphabetical order.
And Orcish Spy says nothing about revealing them in any particular order. It reads "Look at the top three cards of target player’s library" which is what you do. Perhaps only useful in corner cases, but it does appear to do what it says it will do.

Should the card not function the same as paper? I don’t code, but it seems like something simple. If this effect were used in paper the cards MUST be put back in the same order they were in originally, so that’s means the order is information you should have, and mtgo does not give that information to you. The card is strictly worse on mtgo, I would argue much worse and for no particular reason. (Edit: I also just went back and checked, Orcish spy has reminder text that reads “Put them back in the same order.”)

Obviously the cards being revealed are shown in alphabetical order, but are you really going to argue that not knowing the order of the cards is correct? If the intent of the design was for you to not know the order of the cards it would definitely have the phrasing of "and put them back in a random order." tacked onto the end of the ability.

Like Dadio_ mentioned, the paper card clearly has reminder text that strongly implies you know the order of the cards revealed.

Thanks for the testing and backup Neo. I feel its pretty obvious, though I would say it is even more than strongly implying. I'm certain that you are meant to know the order of the top three cards. I'm glad someone else sees it. I hope this gets fixed because I purchased the list I made before I found the bug obviously, and I play pauper for a reason (its cheap lol, but also fun).

Sorry, my versions of the card don't have that reminder text. That indeed would surmise that, in paper at least, you'd know what order they were in.
