Resolved Ob Nixilis Casualty Bug + Ob Nixilis & Esika's Chariot Bug

This card has both a long-standing and newly-made bug to its name.

The new bug happened when using Ob Nixlis' casualty cost sacrificing Atraxa, Grand Unifier. Instead of a copy entering with 7 Loyalty, the copy token of Ob simply died immediately. I have had no issue with this prior to the maintenance on 4/12.

The old bug is with Esika's Chariot and Ob Nix. While you should be able to use Esika's Chariot to copy the Ob Nixilis Casualty Copy, which will enter with the loyalty of the creature you originally used to sacrifice, you instead will immediately have the copy die, despite being able to target Ob Nixilis Copy Token with Esika's Chariot (which is normal).

An error has arisen with today's update, April 12 2023.
The ability to sacrifice a creature (dryad arbor and Ragavan) when casting "ob nixilis, the adversary" doesn't work and doesn't set up the ob nixilis token.

Casualty with Ob Nixilis, The Adversary is not creating the copy token properly and it disappears. Happen in multiple games today.

I would like to bring this up again. The copying of Ob Nixilis, the Adversary's non-legendary token has become relevant again with one of the major decks in Modern. The card is being used in Mardu Energy. Ocelot Pride attempts to create a copy of the Ob Nixilis token, but it doesn't enter with any loyalty and dies.

Already labeled as confirmed, but I wanted to test it anyway. Can confirm that the Ob Nixilis, the Adversary copy made by Ocelot Pride dies upon being made, and that is incorrect.

If I'm understanding this ruling correctly for Ob Nixilis, the Adversary the copy made by Ocelot Pride should enter play with the printed loyalty of 3 since casualty only modifies what the loyalty of what the copied spell will enter with, but once in play all characteristics should match the printed card.
  • The copied spell from Ob Nixilis, the Adversary's triggered ability copies exactly what is printed on Ob Nixilis, except its starting loyalty is equal to the chosen value of X and it isn't legendary. The copy becomes a token as it resolves.(2022-04-29)
