Resolved Molten Primordial's trigger did not untap opponent's Kokusho or give Haste to it.

On Turn 7 in this game (ID: 949342962), a token of Molten Primordial entered the battlefield. Its trigger was placed on the stack and resolved; however, the targeted creature (Kokusho, the Evening Star) did not gain Haste and did not untap upon resolution. I did gain control of it for the turn, and Kokusho was returned to its owner at the end of the turn, per normal. I do not believe any other effects on the battlefield should have prevented these particular changes from occurring.

If the ETB trigger occurs in other circumstances without the untap or grant of Haste, Molten Primordial is rendered much less potent.
