In-Game Chat is unpleasant at best

It is sad that the best feature of ingame chat in competitive games is that you can hit the ignore button. I cannot begin to count the occasions on which my opponents abuse the chat.

I would love to turn the chat on, as there are also occasions, on which one can have a nice interaction with another player. But statistically speaking, it is just not worth it.

We are consistently working on this, and we hear you when it comes to the toxicity of some players. We always encourage everyone to report these players abusing the chat in this way.

I report and block users every time an abusive interaction occurs.

That being said, I do realise that it is not the fault of the people running the game and my little rant above does not contribute to any solution there might be. It's just sad that the social aspect of this game just does not translate into the digital world.

We hear you and are continuing to take steps to create a better environment. Toxicity is not welcome in the game, and we do everything we can to prevent it. That being said, players reporting these players is a common issue. As many do not, or only 1 report comes in about a person. Which is hard to judge against issues; sometimes it's very clear, sometimes it's not. If several people were to report, then it becomes easier to see a pattern and take action.

I always encourage everyone to report conduct like that so we can remove people who are being toxic to players.
