I just wanted to introduce myself. I have been playing paper on-and-off since about 1995. I have been playing MTGO since 2002 and Arena as of 3 years ago. I got back in recently because of Arena but MTGO just feels like home to me.

I play mostly Commander on MTGO now but would like to play other formats. I now have a family so free time is becoming sparse.

Nice to have a meet & greet thread. :)

I‘m from Northern Germany, playing paper M:tG since Revised edition. I made a couple breaks in the last years, but have been active again on mtgo for almost 2 years now, due to lack of a real life playgroup and my family with 4 kids eating up a lot of my time. :)

I can usually be found in the open standard area, playing anything between tournament decks and janky brews. I like to help out new players and always like to have a friendly chat during games. I like to post ridiculous standard game states on twitter (@42smeagol) from time to time.

I sometimes play other formats like modern, pauper, limited… and it‘s even possible that I join a league with a jank brew.

Hello hello! UK resident here (originating from Scotland), I'm relatively new to magic, in that I've only played it for roughly ten years or so. But I did collect the cards back in my youth (with absolutely no understanding about how the game worked). Principally a legacy player (Tin Fins and Reanimator), but I also enjoy other formats.

Have yet to get into commander, though I did enjoy Brawl on MTG Arena, so that is likely the next step for me. I also have a young family now, so play time is limited - which makes MTGO such a dream to ensure I get a proper magic fix when I need one! Hope this finds you all safe and well. Take care and happy gaming.

Hello all! I got introduced to MTG with a Planar Chaos preconstructed deck, I've been mostly grinding paper FNMs and other LGS tournaments, sometimes travel to play PTQs and once to Grand Prix. When it comes to online Magic, I have played MTGO back in the first Innistrad era but then quit. I played lot of Arena when it was introduced, but then stopped as I don't like how it evolved and I can't stand the predatory gold/gems/daily quests model. I occasionaly joined some Pauper in MTGO throughout the years.

I don't play paper Magic anymore except few casual games per year. However I have decided to revisit MTGO as that really feels like playing real Magic, kind of like digital LGS. I started to play Penny Dreadful which is lot of fun and it made me realize I want more so I purchased more tickets and plan to join both limited and constructed leagues. Last two days I played two Dominaria Remastered draft leagues and it was very nice experience (2-1 and 3-0).

btw Thanks a lot for the free Vintage cube ticket - I think it played a big role in my comeback to MTGO - I managed to play like 8 of them purely from the free ticket. Good job Daybreak! I have high hopes for the future of MTGO.
