Freeze during draft

Ever since the update that completely destroyed the client about a month ago I've repeatedly had issues with the client freezing up (sometimes for multiple minutes) in draft (Vintage Cube - not sure it matters). This usually happens when I make a pick and a new pack is loaded.

I have recently managed to track my traffic while this has happened and realized that in (VC) draft every pack seems to load the card images (which is a bit weird already since the inventory uses cached, local images if i am not mistaken). Every time a freeze happened it was because one image just wouldn't load properly / took an extremly long time to load. Whenever the loading was finished the client unfroze but that sometimes meant that multiple picks had gone bye.

The loading issue itself might be a geographic issue (i'm located in europe) but the fact that the client just completely freezes while waiting for an image to load just doesn't make sense. Please fix asap - this has been a thorn in drafting for way too long.

Please try a full clean install. This is not a bug per say but sounds like a client issue. https://help.mtgo.com/hc/en-us/arti...stall-or-perform-a-clean-installation-of-MTGO
Make sure to delete your 2.0 folder.

I have already done that (multiple times) and it never fixed the problem. I even explained the issue and how it is caused which has nothing do to with the local data but the remote data. Pretty redicilous to claim this is not a bug when it's clearly bad code (that seemingly was changed as it never happened before that).

I can understand the frustration and appreciate you trying to explain the issue. The reason I say it's not a bug is that this forum specifically (bug forums) is for bugs with cards and matches not for client issues. As I said this sounds like a client issue and may need a different team to look into this, not our QA team who only tests bugs on cards and matches.

This also sounds like a visual issue you are having that may or may not be the result of other factors. If you could record a video of what it is doing so I can pass this to the dev team that would be very helpful. These are always very tricky to diagnose and determine the exact issue.
