Just came from a match against an aggro player in pauper (Match#254319165, Game#820333728) where I cast foul-tongue shriek with 2 attackers. It dealt 2 damage, but it gained me no life. The text on the card cleary says you gain "that much life." My opponent only had 2 mountains and a monastery swiftspear.
