Fixing Foils - For Real This Time

Daybreak has made a lot of progress on encouraging players to adopt foils.
However it still seems like players generally prefer non-foil. I would frame this as an accessibility issue. The coloration on foils doesn't really translate to a computer screen and negatively affects the card's "readability". This affects both the artwork AND the textbox. Both of these are used to quickly determine what cards are on each side of the field in a game of Magic.

Here's my proposal:
1) Get rid of all foil animation and coloration. Foils appear the same way for all players.
2) Foils are now designated by the WOTC shooting star logo (or similar logo). Magic players already associate this logo with foils or special promos. They know what it means. This logo can be placed on the bottom of the card, or in its type line, or anywhere that is "out of the way". You can also add back some foil coloring to the shooting star logo if needed.

This is a great way to remove the distracting elements of foils while still making these cards stand out from the regular version.

Thank you for considering this proposal!

Go to options, "display and sound settings" and uncheck "animate foil treatment".

It's totally understandable if you don't like foils but don't try and ruin it for those that do.
