This is a continuation of the Twitter thread post from Goatbots here:
Dominaria United redemption fees were announced to be increased from $25 to $45 (With shipping) domestically with the transition. This announcement was made a month after the release on MTGO and when many people and players had already built sets. Over 1000 sets had already been built expecting to be sent out under the old $25 redemption cycle. Many of us that have already built sets would like to petition you to use the previous fee structure for Dominaria and increase the fees with the following set if the warehouse and shipping costs have indeed increased. This is an additional $20,000 just for the sets that had already been built.

The change to allow for inventory to stay in the store longer until it is sold is also a positive change. If there is left over inventory of Streets and Kamigawa maybe they could be added back to the store? Also will the same number of complete sets be printed as compared to the previous guaranteed time sets?

Thank you for your feedback. We are not planning to change course on redemption pricing.

As we explained on announcement in the Transition Details article, the costs on all facets of the redemption business (card acquisition, shipping to our warehouse, shipping to customers) are higher for Daybreak than they were previously. We are happy to continue providing this service, but we cannot subsidize it to the same degree.

Daybreak does not have access to Streets of New Capenna or Kamigawa: Neon Dynasty redemption inventory. Those were sold under Wizards' terms and conditions and their sales windows ran out.
