I see there have been some small improvements with combo play involving new shortcuts.

I have been hoping for some time that MTGO would find a way for a player to demonstrate a loop and then execute that loop X times. For instance looping Peregrine Drake and Priest of Gix with 4 lands in play using Recurring Nightmare. Every loop results in 1 additional mana (effectively infinite times) but is not a viable strategy on MTGO simply due to the number or clicks required to perform the combo would mean that you would never be able to run through the loop enough times to render it effective. You would almost always time out on your matches.

If a feature were introduced that allowed players to demonstrate a loop that returns the game state to the same place where it started that would help tremendously.

We understand that, but we are doing smaller improvements because the work effort for such a loop recorder is too high according to our developers.

We can't make new copies of Masters Edition cards because that was a limited-time extension of art licensing that concluded when MTGO was still at Wizards.

We could commission art for cards and make new promo versions of older cards. But they must be pre-approved by Wizards and the issue is that we don't have budget to get art that we expect they'll approve. (They wouldn't approve art that was acquired at a sub-standard price compared to what they pay).

So we currently wait for Wizards to make new versions of cards with new art. Mystery Booster 2, for example, unlocked a number of older cards for us.
A shame. Thanks for the information. I assume you meet with WotC periodically? Tolaria is a prime candidate for a MB treatment in the sense that the latest one has tons of callbacks to this era of cards. An ironic reprint is perfectly in line with this kind of thing.
