Are Some Braids Precon Players Bots?

Lemme preface this by making it clear that I'm sincerely not upset or complaining and I'm happy that there's new players coming to the game and I understand that assuming they were actual human players that they might need some time to get used to the program. It's just something that stood out to me as kinda weird.

That being said, I've posted before about how I've noticed a LOT of Braids Precon players playing super slow and was told that it was just because apparently the deck is free or cheap when you sign up with a new account and it's just new players getting used to the program. But like....I'm not sure if I'm convinced tbh.

They're not just slow, but many of them also don't talk in chat. They make odd plays that don't seem like a "new player" mistake. They always take a few moments between each prompt to respond and they NEVER concede.

Like just last night I saw a Braids deck target a creature with ward. The ward was "pay 2 life", they had more than enough life to pay it but instead just chose to not pay and let the spell be countered. They'll randomly sac lands early to Braids, they'll run creatures into blockers with seemingly no benefit. They're often minutes behind everyone on the clock and in 1v1 I would even sometimes see them run the clock down to zero but....they'd never quit. And again the odd mistakes are consistent between these Braids Precon players and I've seen similar odd plays across multiple accounts playing the deck. Similar way of playing, similar slow playing.

Again, not complaining that a player didn't give up. It just seems odd that a human player would see they're at like 30 seconds on the clock and just start their turn and still slowly attempt to make plays even though there's absolutely no way they could end the game within that time.

I've been noticing it a bit more again recently and even had other players agree they thought it was a lil weird. Has anyone else run into these odd Braids precons?

Funnily enough, my experience with the free Braids deck players in multiplayer is that they're more likely to concede once they make a misplay or someone kills Braids before they get any value off of her.

As for them being bots, I doubt it, but you never know. I don't think Daybreak would try to implement bots, but since you do get access to the deck with a free account other people could be trying to make a bot capable of playing Magic since there is no barrier of entry to play anymore.
