So I've been reading up on a lot of the requests, and a lot of them surround cards from the Universes Beyond sets like Dr. Who that aren't available on line at all. I don't follow competitive formats or popular casual cards very much, but my understanding is that a lot of these cards haven't been brought online (and in some cases, likely won't be) because of licensing issues, and some of these cards do impact competitive play.
If licensing is the problem, why not create a set with the functional equivalents of these cards, but with licensing removed? Doesn't have to be each and every card, but at least the ones that see play.
For example, instead of "Sonic Screwdriver" from Dr. Who, call it "Sonic Corkscrew". "Magical Screwdriver." Whatever. You get the idea. Generic variants of cards that are unavailable due to licensing that actually see casual or competitive play. Sell them at a discount, with the caveat that the cards will be banned in all formats if the licensed versions are released. It would bring MTGO much closer to parity with paper.
